As you may see I have FOSS links in the menu. So what is FOSS ? Its Free Open Source Software. You can start by seeing this wikipedia page detailing what FOSS is.
The reason I have Linux distros and software listed is that I'm a great believer in Free Software, I use Linux Mageia and Manjaro operating systems myself, and have a Debian Intranet server.
The groups who contribute to Linux are worldwide and give their time for free, which is an amazing feat despite timezones and language barriers.
There is replacements for MS Office called LibreOffice, and Scribus for DTP, as well as KMymoney for MS Money
The software packages mentioned above not only work on Linux, but also work in Microsoft as well. So why pay for a finance package when you can have one for free ?.
The machine I am currently working on is a dual boot using Windows 11 and Mageia with the KDE Plasma Desktop.
I have Firefox, Opera and Vivaldi browsers installed as well as IE. Why ? For compatibility testing.
